Here you can find the very latest details relating to titles that are currently available to preorder. We will update this page consistently with our most up to date timelines as we receive them from both the printers and the bindery. You can also find below a brief explanation of the different kinds of titles we release and why the timelines for production differ depending on the title.

Editions Breakdown

Over the years we have produced a variety of titles whose editions have at times taken on a different name. Allow us to explain the various titles and how the edition type impacts production times as well as some of the terminology you will see along the way.

Printers Editions
(These titles are completed in full by the printers)

Standard Edition - This is our foundational production, every title will have a Standard Edition. Production of this edition involves an editing and typesetting process that is carried out in house at Atramentous Press before it is then sent off to our printers to be both printed and bound.

Special Standard Edition - This production is what you could consider our signature edition. The Special Standard was conceived from a desire to offer something special to those who opt to preorder a title early on and so is often only available for the first few weeks of a preorder. In a time where the cost of living is making times increasingly more difficult we are acutely aware and indebted to those who choose to support a title from the outset. At the least a Special Standard edition will include a single additional page that often will hold a poetical stanza and/or piece of art/photography. Sometimes this edition will also include a different outer binding.

Bindery Editions
(The world renowned Ludlow Bindery takes book blocks from the printers and artisanally binds them)

The production of these particular editions are completely dependant on the timeline of the Standard Editions. Our printers produce the book blocks (the actual pages of the book) and will then send them to the bindery once done. These editions will take a minimum of 8 weeks after production of the printers editions.

Deluxe/Telesmatic Edition - These are our highest end premium production. For these editions we pull out all the stops where everything from the binding, the paper, the ephemera and beyond are of the highest quality.

Somatic/Totemic Edition - These editions were conceived from a desire to cater to those who would like access to a higher quality production than our standard editions but where the price point is still lower than our highest quality Deluxe Editions.
